KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under. Through a confidential application process they provide grants so kids can play a season of sport. Nationally, KidSport is comprised of a network of 11 provincial/territorial KidSport chapters and 178 community KidSport chapters. Since its creation in 1993, over 530,000 kids across the country have been given the chance to play sport through KidSport grants and sport introduction programming.
Regina Humane Society
The Regina Humane Society was incorporated in 1964 as a non-profit organization. The Society has space for over 300 animals, a voluntary Board of Directors, 46 staff and over 600 active volunteers. The Society has, throughout the years, worked to improve the welfare of animals through programs and services in sheltering, education, protection and advocacy.
This annual golf tournament is held each year at the Royal Regina and all proceeds from the event go to support the Gear Up with Jon Ryan Foundation.
The organization believes that no kid should be prevented from playing any sport due to inadequate equipment and all should be given the best and safest equipment to experience the positive benefits of organized sport. Gear Up with Jon Ryan provides equipment to ensure young athletes have the safest and best quality equipment possible.
